HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Today is my Dad's B-day! I hope he has a wonderful day. I know lots of adults that cringe thinking of the day they will be one year older, but dad always talks about how his life is just getting better and how he feels just like a kid. I'll take just a moment to gush about what an amazing dad I have... At this moment he is working hard helping lots of sick and hurt people. He is a healer in my life with his kind gentle words and many many father's blessings. He has so many amazing talents and hobbies! You can check out his awesome photographs from the Dad link! I love that dad is always learning and expanding his mind in all areas of life. I hope I can always be following his example to be the best I can be! One of my favorite things about Dad is his laugh- I can just hear it now! :) Thanks Dad for being the best! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Have a great day and year! I love you!!!

Speaking of four square...

Here's a picture Becca's sister took of me playing four square. Man, I look like a pro! ;) We were posing for pictures for her sports photography portfolio for school. Oh and for the New York update... lots of good running in Central park, great yoga classes, and the job search is still on. Today I walked thirty blocks to turn in a job application, I hope I get the job because I sure did get lots of blisters.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA C!!!

Today is my old roommate Becca's B-day!! I've only known her for a year now but I feel like I've known her forever! We just graduated together and she'll start teaching elementary school in the fall. Bec always makes me laugh- she is so fun and always up for a good time! She is also extremely thoughtful and caring! Bec is the reason that I now call every female I know and see "lady". hehe. I love this lady! My favorite things to do with Bec are playing four square and watching Run's House! :) I hope you have the happiest birthday Becca!!

Week 1

Well I'm just loving the NYC life. I'm still working on figuring out what I'm doing this summer. I found a great yoga studio for an awesome price so I've been taking lots of classes there. I'm going to start ballet with Becca next week- I'm pretty nervous since I haven't taken for over a year! I'm still looking for a job so hopefully I'll find something soon. Here are some HIGHS from my first week...

1- Doing baptisms at the Manhattan Temple

2- Running in Central Park and finding a new route every time- it's huge!!!

3- Walking fast like a New Yorker :)

4- Going to institute at Columbia University (the boy that taught is a convert in the last two years, he rapped about the church at the end of his lesson)

5- Eating healthy amazingly delicous pancakes at Josie's (my new favorite place)

6- Trying to cook with Bec in our tiny kitchen- extremely tiny!

7- Making friends with the doorman

8- Seeing every kind of dog

9- Having the people at Anthropologie tell me I looked like someone that should work there- yesss!

10- Having FHE with Bec, catching up with Bec on the last four year, and doing yoga with Bec in our tiny place -we ended up just laughing the entire time- but that's healthy too! :)

LOWS of the week...

1- Not getting the internship

2- Missing all of you

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLY Z!!!

I wish I could take you here for your birthday...

Ally is one of my favorite people in the world!!! Our friendship began at the beginning of high school after we had heard so much about each other from older siblings. We started "Cookie Thursdays" when we would make cookies and take them around to friends (usually our latest crushes ;) People started being extremely nice to us on Thursday's..hehe. Anyway, Ally and I have been the best of friends ever since. We were able to live together this past year and it was awesome! Ally and I have been through alot together from Island Park to NYC, lots of laughing, crying, good times and bad. Ally is someone you just want to be around- beautiful, fun, kind, the list goes on and on! Happy b-day Cookie Clare!!

Clear out the Clutter!!

So I finally unpacked my car and now I'm trying to get things organized. How did I get so much stuff?! I'm always trying to simplify my life and have less things, but somehow I'm here again going through mountains of papers, clothes and stuff! How do I decide which binder or cute card to toss and which dress to give away? I don't think I'm a pack rat, I've learned over the years that it's okay to get rid of things, but it's funny how I form attachments to certain things or think I'll need them at some point in the future. I hope my mom gets home soon, she's good at telling me it's okay to throw something away.

Don't know when I'll be back again...

This weekend I packed up my car, said my goodbyes and drove back to IF. It was so surreal leaving Provo after fours years of college and so many memories. I have had amazing roommates and also some interesting ones, I've had so many fun adventures and lots of crazy stressful times too, I've learned so much about who I am and who I want to become! Thanks Provo and thank you to everyone that made these past years so special! It's on to the next adventure for me -Idaho girl takes on the big city!! :) Look out NYC!!

This is how we party in Provo- a corona bottle pinyata!!

So this last week after graduation my roommates and I headed to Coronado, an island just off San Diego. My aunt was so kind to let us stay in their condo for the week. The first few days were cloudy and cold so we enjoyed dancing around in the condo, watching movies and going out only for food. hehe. The last few days were beautiful and we relaxed on the beach, boogie boarded, road this awesome bike/car thing (called a surrey) around the island and ate moo time icecream!

I'm back..

It's been a busy few weeks with finishing up my yoga teaching job (the first pic is the awesome studio where I taught), graduation, weddings, and my precious niece Elizabeth being blessed. I also went to California for a week with my roommates to celebrate (more pics soon)!!!
